I am a craftsman borne out of a passion for times gone by
in style and decoration and a lifetime’s study of traditional
decorative craft skills and restoration. Carrying the torch for the old artists and craftsmen of the 18th Century, however still
being able to work on modern projects using modern materials and mediums.
Traditional paint techniques and materials are always used where required or needed, except where health and safety is an issue
where alternatives are used.
Much of the work is carried out in listed, historical, Victorian or Edwardian buildings or homes. Domestic or commercial
projects are considered.
All works are carried out with research, expertise, care, reliability and friendliness.
I hold a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Levels 1,
2 & 3 from the City & Guilds of London Institute.
I currently lecture part-time at Hastings College of Art and Technology, passing my knowledge and expertise to a new generation of passionate students.
